About Shroud University

Shroud University is a division of The Shroud of Turin Education Project, inc. and builds upon its original mission of providing the research tools necessary for students to explore this profound mystery. Is the Shroud of Turin a 2000-year-old relic of Jesus Christ or is it merely a medieval fake? It is a question that rivals “The Great Debate”.

Shroud University features TEN Schools of Academic Study.

• Each school offers a short introduction and several ideas for student exploration and study.

• School related topics are linked to online resources for further research.

• Where available, we have incorporated streaming video, audio and other digital media.

• See the Library for a comprehensive selection of available resources. Each School will feature references relevant only for that School.

The Alumni Association is for students and others who have studied the subject or have seen a presentation or are in any way knowledgeable about the subject through this site or by other means. We collect contact information and periodically send out Shroud Updates.

The Shroud University Alumni Association also features a list of Academic Advisors willing to assist interested students with various projects.

Begin thinking how you can incorporate the Shroud into one or more of the courses you may be taking now or in the future. The subject is fascinating, intriguing and exciting to learn about. Nothing facilitates learning more than having a reason to do the research. This is why Shroud University encourages students to make it part of a class project rather than just a personal interest. Take it a step further and make a presentation of your work to the class. The resources on this site will provide everything you need, however, if it does not, contact one of the advisors, who would be glad to assist you.
