Shroud Exhibitions
From 1578 to 1842
  • Removing all doubt that the location on the Shroud cut for C-14 dating couldn’t have been worse and was most likely subject to repair.

Most exhibitions were held on May 4th the official Feast Day of the Holy Shroud.

In every instance the pattern is clear.  The officials are holding or grabbing the Shroud precisely where it was cut for C-14 dating.

The Shroud would also be exhibited to honor and bless special occasions.  In 1663 it was exhibited on April 5th for a royal wedding.
